Tullaab

Campuses rated for Muslim students

Can a Muslim student pray, dress, and practise here — without penalty?

Tullaab rates every university on exactly that, answered by the students who were there. Each campus gets an overall Score out of 100, built from five things that shape daily practice — and the more students who answer, the more reliable it is. Nothing here is opinion.

Score
  1. 1
Every answer counts for or against. Each yes/no answer is read as favourable or not — by whether it helps a Muslim student. Where a question names a risk (say, discipline for keeping a beard), a “No” is the favourable answer.
  2. 2
Each measure is a share of favourable answers. For every measure we take the proportion of favourable answers across all responses for that campus — a figure from 0 to 100. The more students who answer, the more settled the figure.
  3. 3
The five measures combine into one Score. Each measure is weighted by how much it shapes daily practice, then added into a single Score out of 100.
  4. 4
The Score sets the verdict. One plain word — from Hostile to Accommodating — so a campus can be read at a glance.
What each measure weighs
Score to verdict
Prayer access
A masjid or musallā on campus, Jumu'ah, and permission to break for salāh on time.
Religious freedom
Halaqahs tolerated, praying on premises unpunished, a visible Muslim presence.
Dress & grooming
The beard kept without penalty; hijab, abaya, and niqab worn without restriction.
Safety
Freedom from Islamophobic bias, unfair grading, or harassment — and fair redress.
Institutional ethos
Ownership, certified halal food, and respect for mainstream Islamic principles.
The overall Score
The weighted result of all five measures, from 0 to 100. Prayer and ethos count the most.
